Triton Central’s annual Pink Out Game is always a memorable event. For Triton Central senior Maryrose Felling, the 2026 event is now unforgettable.
In the third quarter Friday against Class A, No. 6 Oldenburg Academy, Felling surpassed Samantha Dewey to become the girls basketball program’s career scoring leader. With 1,715 points, Felling has now scored more points that any girl in Shelby County basketball history.
”I think it’s really cool,” she said after Class 2A, No. 7 Triton Central’s 63-53 win over the Twisters. “I thought (the record) was untouchable at the beginning of my senior year.”

Felling is averaging a career-high 24.8 ppg this season for the Tigers, who have won 12 straight to improve to 17-3.
Oldenburg Academy led 19-15 after one quarter. Quinn King scored 11 points in the second quarter to put Triton Central up 31-23 at halftime.

Felling broke Dewey’s record in the third quarter after scoring 11 points to push her game total to 15. King scored six in the quarter too as the Tigers extended the lead to 48-36.
Felling hit her only three-pointer of the game in the fourth quarter and added seven more points to finish with a game-high 26. King followed closely with 25 points.
”Maryrose has always been a part of LTB (Lady Tigers Basketball) since she was a little girl,” said Triton Central coach Bryan Graham, who said he has coached seven of the program’s top 10 career scorers. “She would come around when (older sister) Samantha was playing. I always remind her when she was little I would talk to her and she would growl at me.”
Earlier this season, Felling eclipsed the Triton Central boys basketball career scoring record held by Wyatt Felling, who she grew up competing against along with older siblings Samantha and Atticus Felling — all Triton Central graduates.
”I like to be humble but I’ve worked really hard for this since I was in fourth grade,” she said. “I worked out with my older brothers. I’ve guarded them. They’ve guarded me. I think I’ve seen it all and I’ve played it all.
”I’ve played AAU since I was in fifth grade. I don’t think there is any competition I could come up against that I’m not ready for. My family has definitely supported me through all that.”
Oldenburg Academy (17-3) has four double-digit scorers in the loss. Claire Niese led the Twisters with 13 points. Norah Haverkos had 12. Rachel Suttmann, a Holy Cross College (Ind.) commit, scored 11 and Ali Nobbe finished with 10.
Suttmann also achieved a milestone Friday. The senior surpassed 1,000 career points.
The 18th Annual Pink Out Game was another rousing success. The silent auction and all other fundraising avenues will produce another substantial donation to the Indiana Women In Need foundation that will then distribute the funds to Shelby County families currently battling breast cancer.

In its 17 previous years, the event has raised more than $250,000z
”It’s a community affair. It’s not just a Lady Tigers basketball game,” said Graham.
The highlight of the night is the parade of breast cancer survivors around a raucous gymnasium in between the junior varsity and varsity games. Each individual is then introduced to the crowd in attendance.
This year there were 29 breast cancer survivors in attendance. Graham noted the number was slightly lower this year due to four deaths this past year of regular attendees — demonstrating there is still a need to fight against breast cancer.
”It’s not just putting on some pink uniforms and putting up some pink streamers and balloons,” explained Graham. “It’s a heartfelt evening about being united for a great cause.”
”I think we all understand it’s bigger than winning or losing (a game),” said Felling. “Coach Graham always reminds us that the survivors talk about this (night) all year and this is the day they look forward to and we kind of play for them.”
