The Shelbyville Parks and Recreation Department’s Free Community Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday at Kennedy Park.
There will be a number of activities on site Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m. They include:
- Face painting
- Petting zoo
- Chalk art
- Bounce House
- Bike giveaway
- Goodie Bag
The Easter Bunny will arrive at noon at Kennedy Park, 200 Minster Drive. The age group (ages 10 and under) egg hunts will follow the Easter Bunny’s arrival.
The egg hunt will be in a different part of the park this year due to construction on the softball diamond.

Adaptive Easter Egg Hunt
The parks department is hosting an Adaptive Easter Egg Hunt Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the parks department’s Civic Center Gymnasium, 945 S. Tompkins St.
This special event is designed to be quieter and more accessible for those with disabilities.
