Officer Allen with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Saturday, November 22nd, on U.S. 30 just east of Pioneer Drive at 10:45 p.m. The traffic stop was on a vehicle where the registered owner had a suspended driving status.
36-year-old Christopher Montgomery of Maple Road in Plymouth was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail. He was booked in for driving while suspended with a prior conviction. Within 3 hours, his bond was posted, and he was released.
On Saturday afternoon, November 23, Patrolman Thornton paced a vehicle at 67 miles per hour in a posted 50 miles per hour zone on U.S. 30. While on the traffic stop, it was determined that Layla Clarice Abra, 22, of California, had never obtained a valid driver's license. While taking inventory of the vehicle to be towed, suspected marijuana was located.
Abra was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license and possession of marijuana. Within 30 minutes, her bond was posted, and she was released.
