A driver was arrested by Parke County deputies after leaving the scene of a Monday night accident.
About 11 p.m., deputies responded to an accident near US 41 and Hilltop Road. They found signs of an accident but no vehicle was at the scene.
The Parke County Sheriff's report says that a vehicle was then noticed near US 41 and 500 North. It was in the roadway with hazard lights on. Also, the vehicle had damage consistent with the accident scene.
The driver, William Flood, 22, of Brazil, was still in the vehicle. He was arrested for operating a vehicle with a BAC greater than 0.15, leaving the scene of an accident and possession of marijuana.
