Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters announced road work to be completed by county employees this week. Chip and sealing will begin on Monday, July 28th, weather permitting.
Peters said anytime there’s a disruption to the schedule due to weather, the next suitable day to restart the project, the county will start again.
The Marshall County Highway Department will begin chip and sealing these roads on Monday:
•Jarrah Road from U.S. 6 to the railroad tracks
•6th Road from Juniper Road to Hawthorn Road and
•Hawthorn Road from 5C Road to Plymouth/Goshen Trail.
Peters said these roads will be closed until the work is completed.
Drivers are urged to please use caution, slow down, and be alert when traveling near or through construction zones. Be mindful of county workers and road conditions. Drivers are reminded that when the signs say CLOSED it means no one should drive down the road.
