The Lawrence County Board will hold a public hearing later this month.
It is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday June 26th in the county board meeting room at the Lawrence County Courthouse. County officials have informed WAKO Giant FM News that the purpose of the hearing is to allow comment regarding an Energy Transition Grant received by the county as a result of the shutdown of Sunrise Coal mining operations in Lawrence County earlier this year.
