A Chicago woman was arrested Monday morning after a traffic stop on U.S. 30 led to the discovery of suspected marijuana.

Myelle F. Miller, 27, was pulled over at approximately 8:45 a.m. on March 2 near the Michigan Street exit for a traffic infraction.

During the stop, authorities discovered Miller was in possession of suspected marijuana. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with marijuana possession.

Charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed. Winship is presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and is entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
