Vincennes University has announced that Susan Brocksmith, Dean of the College of Business and Public Service, has been honored as an Indiana Master Farmer for 2026. The award coming from Indiana Prairie Farmer and Farm Progress.
The Indiana Master Farmer award is given to farmers and agribusiness professionals who display passion, drive, and an outstanding work ethic in regard to farming and other ag-related issues. Nominees are judged on farming accomplishments, care of natural resources, and community involvement. Her grandfather, father-in-law, and husband Mike had previously been selected as Master Farmers.
Brocksmith welcomed VU students to her family's soybean and corn farm in Knox County for hands on, learning experiences.
