The 59th Annual Marshall County Blueberry Festival officially opens on Friday at noon. However, the carnival will be open on Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., and food and craft vendors have the option to be open.
The Drone Show is back for another can’t-miss performance on Saturday night. A couple of hundred drones to fill the sky with a show specially choreographed for the Blueberry Festival. The field will open at 6 p.m. to set up your blankets and chairs for the performance that starts at 9:15 p.m. Get your space and then head into the park to grab your favorite snack.
A fan favorite is the fabulous fireworks show on Sunday evening sponsored in conjunction with the Hoosier Lottery. The show begins at 9:15 p.m., but due to some security concerns, the field will not open until noon, allowing everyone to select the best seat in the house to get their chairs and blankets set up early. This is a change from the previously announced opening.
Blueberry Festival officials want to remind everyone that they must keep the driveway clear for emergency vehicles. If you set up your chairs or blankets on the driveways, you will be asked to move your items until the roads are closed for the fireworks extravaganza.
