The City of Rochester Common Council was alerted to bids that have been approved for the improvement of the city's water distribution system and a new elevated 750,000 gallon storage tank.
Council member John Garrett provided the report from a recent Water Board meeting with Commonwealth Engineers.
The project includes new water main installation, connection to existing mains, new valves, new hydrants and existing hydrant replacement.
The work includes all piping, valves, earthwork, and all other work required for the complete water distribution system improvements.
Regarding the city’s new 750,000 gallon elevated storage tank the project includes construction of an access road, tank mixer, site security, site electrical and SCADA equipment.
