The Bi-State Authority received some bad news at their session this week at the Mid-American Air Center located northeast of Lawrenceville.
The airport had applied two months ago for inclusion in the FY2026 Community Project Federal Grant Funding Program. The facility was seeking money to cover the costs of the installation of a sewer plant mound system to improve the current facility located on airport property. But 18th District Republican Congressman Mike Bost's office emailed airport management saying the application was not selected for funding in the upcoming year. It is undecided as to whether or not to apply for 2027.
