By Staff report

A person is in custody connected to a social media threat that delayed Tuesday's dismissal at Morristown Jr. Sr. High School.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Shelby County Sheriff's Department reported that its office was notified of a threat made to a student at the school. The threat was communicated using a social media app. A suspect was identified and Breanna Ramsey, 18, of Morristown, was taken into custody. Ramsey charged with Intimidation, Level 6 felony.

In a release from Shelby Eastern Superintendent Dr. Todd Hitchcock it was noted that the school delayed Tuesday's dismissal to allow for law enforcement to be on campus at that time as a precaution while the investigation was ongoing.
