The REES Theatre has a full lineup of events planned for July as part of its American Summer series, celebrating everything from classic Hollywood to the nation's 250th anniversary.
The month kicks off with the Seasoned Citizens Movie of the Month on Wednesday, July 8th at 2:00 p.m. — the beloved 1960 comedy Where the Boys Are, starring Connie Francis, Dolores Hart, Yvette Mimieux, and Paula Prentiss. Designed for moviegoers 55 and older, tickets are $8 and include admission, fresh popcorn, and a drink. Thanks to sponsors Allen and Donna Pontius for making the series possible.
On Thursday, July 16th at 7:30 p.m., the Incredible Indiana Summer Film Series wraps up with a free screening of Common Ground, a documentary exploring how regenerative agriculture can restore soil health and strengthen communities. Advance reservations are encouraged. The series is presented in partnership with the Marshall County Soil & Water Conservation District.
The month closes on a grand note with American Celebration 250! on Saturday, July 25th at 7:30 p.m. The Lincoln Chamber Ensemble, a 17-piece orchestra led by Deacon Tim Woods, will perform patriotic favorites, stirring marches, and classic American compositions in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary. General admission tickets are $25, with VIP balcony seating available for $40. Special thanks to Up The Creek LLC for sponsoring the event.
Tickets for all events are available on Eventbrite or at the Everwise Box Office at The REES Theatre, 100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.
