A traffic stop on U.S. 30 Wednesday resulted in the discovery of three kilos of suspected cocaine and approximately $3,000 in U.S. currency. Jarvis Buchanan, 44, of Fort Wayne, was subsequently arrested and booked at the Kosciusko County Jail on a charge of possession of cocaine, a Level 3 felony.
A Fort Wayne man is in custody after he was found with three kilos of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop in Kosciusko County.
According to police reports, on Wednesday, an Indiana State Police trooper made a traffic stop on a 2007 black BMW SUV headed east on U.S. 30. During the stop, a police dog of the Warsaw Police Department was used and alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. A subsequent search reportedly revealed three kilos of suspected cocaine and approximately $3,000 in U.S. currency.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jarvis Buchanan, 44, of Fort Wayne, was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine, a Level 3 felony, and taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.
