A member of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office has announced his retirement.
Major Kevin Pruiett was sworn in as a deputy in May of 1989. After 37 years of service, his last day of was June 12.
Pruiett has served as a road deputy, detective, sergeant and major or chief deputy. He has attended numerous specialized classes during his career as well as being a firearms instructor for the sheriff’s office and at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Pruiett is a lifelong resident of Cass County and 1982 graduate of Caston High School. He graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield in 1989.
