Seeing into the future

The thought of seeing into the future can be complicated.

There are unknown factors that are challenging and to be honest we cannot always see what is next. Eye health is important, and March is “Save Your Vision” Month.

What does this mean?

Our eyes do more than see color and shapes. They can help with what we perceive, can help us navigate in our surroundings, and our eyes aid us in appreciating the beauty that is around us.

Eye health is something that is overlooked as we believe that other health factors are more important to address. However, it is the eyes that help us function in all kinds of environments whether familiar or not.

Yearly eye examinations are necessary to address eye disease as we age. Early detection through routine eye exams is a proactive approach to caring for your eyes.

Eye disease can occur at any age, so regular checkups are critical. How we care for our eyes now can make a big difference later.

When outdoors, wear protective eye wear in the sun. This can help reduce the risk of macular generation and cataracts. We must be mindful to limit our digital time and alleviate eye strain by giving your eyes a “break” which helps support good eye health.

Senior eye health is extremely important as vision loss impacts the quality of life, functional abilities, and overall health.

Celebrate “Save Your Vision” Month by telling others sooner than later.

We are better together.
