Shelbyville will serve as the launch city for the Civic Renaissance Tour, a national and international civic renewal initiative led by Alexandra Hudson, author of “The Soul of Civility,” with local leadership from Pastor Ralph Botte of First Christian Church. The effort will begin with a public community event Jan. 29, at 7:00 PM followed by a leaders’ roundtable Jan. 30, at 9:00 AM aimed at helping Shelbyville residents and leaders build practical, long-term approaches to engaging across differences and strengthening civic life.
