Chuck Sorrell is tired.
He’s tired of hearing about how close his team has been the past two years.
He’s tired of talking about how if a few plays could have gone the way of the South Putnam Eagles they would’ve beaten Providence in the Class A semi-state last year.
He’s tired of hearing about the likes of Lutheran and Providence and how his team played hard, gave a valiant effort and came up short.
For those reasons and then some, Sorrell and the Eagles are ready for the 2025 campaign.
“Yes, our kids are tired of hearing how close we have been, especially last season. When you look at missing out on a state championship by one or two plays sometimes it’s hard to forget about things. We have many young men trying to start varsity for the first time so that is the drive right now and we still break every day with state champs. It’s still the ultimate goal,” Sorrell told The Putnam County Post.
