The Lawrenceville baseball Indians got outstanding pitching in a non-conference 5-0 road win Wednesday at Farina (South Central).
Garrett Moorehead went all seven innings and allowed no runs on 3 hits with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts.
He also helped himself with 2 hits and a RBI, Noah Wilson also had a hit and 2 RBI and Wyalan Bice also had 2 hits for the Tribe.
The game was scoreless until the Indians broke through with 1 in the 5th, 3 in the 6th and an insurance run in the 7th.
The victory improves Lawrenceville to 7-5 as they head to Paris Thursday for a Little Illini Conference (LIC) contest.
