The tough times continue for the Lawrenceville Lady softball Indians.

They dropped their 6th game in a row Monday in a 9-1 Little Illini Conference (LIC) matchup with Mt. Carmel at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville. The visitors from Wabash County scored 5 runs in the first inning and never were seriously threatened in the game. The Lady Golden Aces plated 9 runs on 7 hits and made 1 error while the Lady Indians were held to 1 run on 6 hits and made 7 costly errors. Both Ella Waggoner and Brina Opat had 2 hits for Lawrenceville.

The loss drops the Lady Indians to 4-11 on the season. They will attempt to get back in the win column Thursday when they head north to Marshall to meet the Lady Lions in LIC play.
