The Robinson Lady Maroons pushed across two runs in the bottom of the 8th inning Monday and handed the Lawrenceville Lady softball Indians a tough 2-0 loss in Little Illini Conference (LIC) play at Robinson.
The hosts scored 2 runs on only 5 hits with 1 error while the Lady Indians were shutout on 7 hits and also made 1 error.
Abby Taylor and Erin Harris had 2 hits apiece for Lawrenceville and Allison Evans went the distance and took the pitching loss.
The loss drops the squad to 7-16 on the season with a non-conference road game scheduled at Martinsville Tuesday.
