It was a tough trip to Newton Monday for the Lawrenceville Lady softball Indians.
They fell behind early and dropped a 6-2 decision to the Lady Eagles in Little Illini Conference (LIC) play
Newton scored 6 runs on 7 hits and made 1 error while the Lady Indians were held to 2 runs on 10 hits and committed 3 errors. Elaina Hoke, Reagan Ivers, and Kinleigh Ritchie each had 2 hits for Lawrenceville.
The Lady Indians are now 6-15 overall and are 0-6 in the LIC.
They are scheduled for non-conference play Tuesday at home with Washington (Indiana).
