Kentucky basketball great Dan Issel releases long-awaited memoir

The University Press of Kentucky announced the publication of Dan Issel: From Kentucky Wildcat to NBA Legend, the long-awaited memoir of one of the most accomplished and beloved figures in basketball history.

A University of Kentucky All-American, ABA champion, NBA star, coach, executive, and Hall of Famer, Dan Issel left an undeniable mark on the game of basketball at every level. Known to generations of fans as "The Horse" for his legendary durability and consistency, Issel scored more than 27,000 points during his professional career and remains among the sport's all-time leading scorers.

Written with award-winning journalist Doug Brunk, Dan Issel: From Kentucky Wildcat to NBA Legend offers readers an intimate look at the life and career of a Kentucky sports icon.
