Shelbyville seniors Caden Claxton and Mar Nicholson and Triton Central senior Eli Sego have been named HBCA All-District for District 3.

Claxton averaged 16.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 4.2 apg for the Golden Bears this past season. He will graduate as the program’s third all-time leading scorer with 1,318 points.

Nicholson averaged 15.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 2.8 apg. He surpassed 1,000 career points this season and graduates as a top 10 scorer in Shelbyville history.

Sego (21.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.9 apg), Triton Central’s career scoring leader (1,639 points), helped the Tigers capture back-to-back sectional titles Saturday at Eastern Hancock High School.
A total of 12 athletes were named All-District 3. Also honored were Batesville’s Trenton Luers and Brayden Maple, Columbus North’s Caleb Ferguson, Hauser’s Gavin Keller, Stryker Gill and Kameron Blair, Jennings County’s Johnny Elkins, and Milan’s Micah Norman and Gabe Riehle.
The All-District selection makes all 12 eligible for selection to the HBCA All-Star Game in April in Loogootee.
Twelve more underclassmen were selected All-District 3.

Morristown’s Kellen Crim (15.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 3.8 apg, 3.0 spg) was honored. The junior guard will eclipse 1,000 career points early next season. He is at 979 points through three seasons.
Also selected Underclass All-District 3 were Batesville’s James Hughes and Kamryn Holcomb, Columbus North’s Austin Perry, East Central’s Liam Rogers, Greensburg’s Jacoby Miller, Jac-Cen-Del’s Darian Grieshop, North Decatur’s Owen Rennekamp, South Dearborn’s Scout Gray and Wyatt Adams, and South Ripley’s Drew Volz and Eli Gilpin.
