The Red Hill Football Salukis overcame a sluggish first half and held off the North Central (Farmersburg Ind) Thunderbirds 29-22 Saturday.
They trailed 6-0 after one quarter and led 7-6 at the half before improving their play in the second half to pull farther ahead, but the visitors did not go away quietly. The T-Birds cut the lead down to one score with a fourth quarter rally and had the ball in the final seconds near midfield before the Saluki defense held on downs to cement the victory.
The Salukis are 2-1 with two wins in a row and will stay home next Saturday to host Christopher Ziegler Royalton (CZR).
