The Red Hill baseball Salukis have a first round win in the Midland Trail Conference tournament.
They beat Wayne City 6-2 Tuesday at Wayne City for their 3rd win in a row.
The Salukis scored 6 runs on 8 hits with 3 errors while the host Indians were held to 2 runs on 3 hits with 2 errors.
Brody Wattles and Marcus Davis each had 2 hits and Marcus Davis, Keegan Liston and Dylan Aten each had a RBI for the Saluki offense.
Liston was the winning pitcher as he went 4 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts.
Carter Davis finished up with 3 innings of scoreless relief.
Red Hill is now 8-7 heading into the second round.
