Van Allen Price, 81, of Plymouth

Van Allen Price, 81, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away on February 13, 2026, in Plymouth. He was born March 27, 1944 in Bourbon, Indiana, to Ronald and Helen Price.

Van was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diana (Roush) Price; his parents, Ronald and Helen Price; and his brother, Ronald Price Jr.

He is survived by his children, Janice Garner (Paul Garner) and Jeff Price (Tonia); eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Rita Simpson.

Van proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1971 as a SP5. Van and Diana would foster 36 children from 1981 to 1998 and from 1999 to 2009. He worked throughout his life at Wayne Hardware, W.A.S. Vending, Oliver Ford, and Price Enterprises, where he was known for his strong work ethic and his willingness to help anyone in need.

A devoted Christian and longtime member of the former Sunrise Chapel, now Plymouth Community Church, Van’s greatest joys were the simple things. He loved talking with others, sharing stories, and spreading his love of Jesus to everyone he met. He deeply loved his family and never met a stranger. Those who knew him will remember his kindness, warm spirit, and the way he made people feel welcome wherever he went.

Van’s family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 11-1 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Brian Hasse officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Plymouth Am. Legion Post #27.

Memorial contributions may be given to Plymouth Community Church, 11802 Lincoln Hwy, Plymouth, IN 46563 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
