Tamara Lynn Miller, age 47, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at her residence. She was born November 20, 1978 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Merle Finn and Marlene Merrill Finn. She married David L. Miller November 8, 2014, and he survives.

Tammy was well known throughout the area for her friendly personality and hardworking spirit. She worked as a bartender at the Albion VFW, Lawrenceville Elks, Lawrenceville Moose, Bridgeport Moose, and Syd’s Place in Lawrenceville, where she formed countless friendships over the years. Tammy truly never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, at any time. Her outgoing nature and infectious personality made her a joy to be around. Affectionately nicknamed “Brute” by her father, Tammy carried that special name with pride throughout her life.

Her greatest joy was her family, and she faithfully attended her children’s sporting events, always cheering them on with love and enthusiasm. Tammy enjoyed Jeep rides, eating out with her family, cooking—something she was especially talented at—and relaxing in the backyard surrounded by those she loved most. She adored her dogs, Bandit, Izzy, and Gus, and never passed up a chance to enjoy her favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Tammy enjoyed spending time with Lane with special moments at the rock pile, completing crafts, and taking golf cart rides. Known for operating on “Tammy-time,” she lived life in her own way and on her own schedule, bringing laughter and unforgettable memories to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Preceding Tammy in death were her paternal grandparents, Fred and Helen Finn, and maternal grandparents, Robert and Nina Merrill; a sister, Tabitha Finn.

Survivors include: her parents; her husband, David; children, Jada Grove (Hayden Price) of Lawrenceville and Cash Grove of Lawrenceville, Zach (Tristen) Miller of Lawrenceville, Casey (Cory) Funk of Lawrenceville; siblings, Angela (Kurt) Broster of Mt. Carmel, Alisa (Damien) Medler of Ellery, Illinois, Amanda (Keith) Willett of Albion, Illinois, Merle (Elizabeth) Finn, Jr. of Fairfield, Illinois; grandchildren, Zoey Andrews, Kenley Funk, Wyatt Funk, Lane Miller; nieces and nephews, Kayla Broster, Kyle (Maddy) Broster, Karisa (Brandon) Bosecker, Keira Willett, Breeana Willett, Marcus Willett, Brantley Finn, Chloe Finn, Dustin Finn, Ember Finn, Aaron Allums.
