Susan Elaine Irwin-Freire, 73, Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at her residence.
Susan was born in Greencastle on September 24, 1952, the daughter of Donald T. and Barbara Joan (Shaner) Irwin, and was a 1971 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Mrs. Freire was a member of the Longbranch Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Joaquin Donald Freire; and a brother, Donald Irwin, (wife-Judy).
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may arrive at the cemetery one half hour prior to service time.
