Stephen “Steve” K. Knebel, 69, of Rochester, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born on October 14, 1956 in Winamac, Indiana, the son of Francis Neil and Sandra (Hoover) Knebel. On May 6, 1982 in Winamac, Indiana, he married Tina A. Crawford and she survives.
Steve worked for the Braun Corporation as a Supervisor for over thirty- three years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and lifetime DNR cardholder. He was an avid cornhole player, enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Knebel, Rochester, Indiana, children, Wendy (Joe) Fox, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Tracy (Brian) Sanders, Carmel, Indiana, Melanie (Raymond) Stoll, Winamac, Indiana, grandchildren, Olivia Sanders-Schultheis and husband Matthew, Indianapolis, Indiana, Luke Sanders, Indianapolis, Indiana, Bo Sanders, Indianapolis, Indiana, Reese Sanders, Carmel, Indiana, Sidney Sanders, Carmel, Indiana, Joseph Cooper Fox, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Danielle (John) Conway, LaPorte, Indiana, two great grandchildren, sister, Debra (Terry) Ruff, Star City, Indiana, brother, Karry (Deb) Knebel, Muncie, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Karla Jo Rausch, brothers-in-laws, Theodore “Ted” Rausch and Dr. Brad Crawford D.D.S.
Private services and interment will take place at Star City West Cemetery, Star City, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
