Patricia Earlene Stutsman, born December 16, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.
She was the daughter of Earl W. Harris and Thelma (Brown) Harris. On April 5, 1959, she married Charles M. Stutsman, who preceded her in death.
Patricia is survived by her four children: Dennis Stutsman and husband Edward Clark; Bret Stutsman and wife Diane; Gary Stutsman and wife Cheri; and Becky Nees and husband Brian. She was a proud grandmother to eighteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, with one more great-grandchild expected in July.
Also surviving are her siblings: Tom Harris; Bettie Harris; Judy Harris; and Ann Christophel and husband Bill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Stutsman; her siblings, Ernie Harris, Charles “Bud” Harris, and Dave Harris; her sisters-in-law, Deloris Harris and Jane Harris; and her beloved granddaughter, Annie Stutsman.
Patricia’s family shared this heartfelt remembrance:
“We were fortunate to have two parents who put family above all else. Their imperfections were not weaknesses; they were what likely gave them the perspective to accept the shortcomings of all of us. The way that comes through most clearly is the absolute devotion to all the grandkids. That was absolutely Mom’s superpower. There was not a day that went by that she didn’t think of them, always with love and the best of intentions.”
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Soul Harvest Church.
