Michael Eugene Holloway, 80, of rural Mentone

Michael Eugene Holloway, 80, of rural Mentone, passed unexpectedly on Monday, February 9, 2026 at his residence.
 
Mike was born on January 23, 1946, in Talma, Indiana, to Herman and Marie (Fisk) Holloway. He graduated from Mentone High School in 1964 and went on to serve as a cook in the Army Reserves with the 192nd Supply Company out of South Bend from 1966 to 1971. On September 28, 1968, he married Barbara L. Harvey in Talma. They shared many years together before her passing on July 11, 2022.

Mike spent more than four decades with Midwest Spring, working in shipping and receiving until his retirement in 2012. In earlier years he enjoyed spending time with friends at Garrett’s Sports Saloon in Mentone and the Moose Lodge in Warsaw.

Throughout his life, Mike found joy in bowling leagues, riding motorcycles, and taking part in poker runs. A true car enthusiast, he owned numerous vehicles over the years. He also enjoyed watching football, basketball, or his favorite westerns. He also enjoyed playing cards and going out for breakfast.

He is survived by his sons Michael Holloway Jr. and wife Tina of Warsaw, Mitchell and wife Michelle Holloway of Mentone, and Mason and wife Priscilla Holloway of Bourbon and; grandchildren Lindsey, Layne, Miranda, Logan, Maddux, and Addalyn; great grandchildren Hallie and Harper; sister Patricia and husband Jim Vigar of Madera, California; brother Paul and wife Sharon Holloway of Rochester; and close friend Keith Boyd.
 
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

No services will be held at this time. A celebration for Mike and his wife Barb is being planned for the future.

The arrangement have been entrusted to King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana.
