Kent A. Sallee, age 74, passed away peacefully at the Center for Hospice Raclin House on Friday, May 8th, 2026. He was the son of Charles and Ellalene Sallee, was born in Carmel, Indiana on February 21st, 1952, and graduated from Carmel High School. Kent built a life marked by dedication to his work and loyalty to those around him. He spent his career in the fields of criminal justice and transportation, where he was known for his strong work ethic and steady presence.
Outside of work, Kent had a passion for cars and motorcycles and took great joy in sharing stories and reminiscing with friends. To those who knew him best, he was affectionately called “EZ.”
Though he often carried a gruff exterior, those closest to Kent knew the truth beneath it—a kind, caring, and deeply genuine man who valued friendship and connection.
Kent was proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Ward Sheets (Joy) of Florida and his dear friend, Laura Mann.
He will be remembered for his unique spirit, his stories, and the lasting impression he left on all who knew him.
A private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Argos, IN. Palmer Funeral Home – Plymouth Chapel is honored to be assisting the family with final arrangements.
