Jan Louise Tipsword, age 75 of Lawrenceville, passed away unexpectedly at her home.
Jan Louise Tipsword, age 75 of Lawrenceville, passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Vincennes, IN on March 25, 1950, the only daughter of James J. and Dorothy Rose (Bailey) Andrews.
After graduating from Bridgeport Township High School, she went to work at the First National Bank of Bridgeport. Jan remained at the bank for 40 years until her retirement. She grew up attending the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bridgeport and remained a member there until it closed.
Jan loved her family and took great pride in her three grandchildren. She was a life-long member of the Bridgeport Delts and enjoyed reading.
Those left to carry on the memories of Jan include: two children- Amber Tipsword of Sumner and Aaron Tipsword of Lawrenceville; three grandchildren- Sydney, Bryce, and Bailey Barker; her seven brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Andrews.
A visitation time will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Graveside services will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Bridgeport City Cemetery.
