James Ray Boatright, 86, of Poland, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at home with his family by his side.
James was born October 21, 1938 to Edgar S. Boatright and Pauline Coleman (Hammond) in Greencastle, IN.
James worked for 30 years at Mallorys as a second shift supervisor until he retired in the early 2000s.
James was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Lulu Ann Boatright and Robert M. and Pauline Coleman; son Kevin Boatright; daughter Mary J. Boatright; grandson Jeremy Boatright; stepbrother Desmond Stevens; stepsister Edith Blye; as well as additional family members.
James is survived by his wife Linda Boatright (Dunkle); children James E. Boatright (Diana), Donald R. Boatright (Frank), Trisha Eileen Stark (Todd); sister Janice Dudley; stepbrothers John Stevens and Robert M. Coleman II; stepsisters Mary Smit and Gladys Templeman; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 24, 2025 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday July 25, 2025 at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Pinelawn Mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle following service.
Memorial contributions can be made in James’ name to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
