Donald Eugene Scott, 84, of Greenwood, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Homeview Health and Rehab in Franklin.
He was born on February 4, 1942, in Johnson County, Indiana, the son of Eugene Nading and Margaret Ellen (Willard) Scott.
Don is survived by his sister, Kathryn Lavonne Kelley; brothers, Glen Dale Scott and wife, Barbara, Robert Wayne Scott and wife, Becky, Marlin Edward Scott and wife, Sonya, and Kevin Lee Scott; three grandsons, Bailey, Brandon and Blake; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Bonnie Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandra Sue Scott; son, Brian Eugene Scott and wife, Vangie; and brother, John R. Scott.
In 1960, he graduated from Southwestern High School.
He was a school bus driver for 25 years, driving for Southwestern, Shelbyville, Blue River and Triton schools. Don was also a farmer.
Don was a member of the Amity Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir, helped with youth conventions and church camp.
He was also a member of the Marietta Volunteer Fire Department.
Don enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets, fishing and racing mini harness horses.
Visitation will be from 10 am to Noon, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will follow at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
