Don Trigg, 76, of Rochester

Don Trigg, 76, of Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away at 1:26 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at  Acension St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis.

On February 15, 1949,  Donald Lee Trigg was born in South Bend to Donald M. and Letha A. Homan Trigg. Growing up, he shared his childhood with two sisters and two brothers.   Proudly, he graduated with the Class of 1967 from Rochester High School.   Answering the call of patriotism, Don served with the United States Army.   During his service stint he served as a member of the military police. Don received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Marksman prior to his honorable discharge.

Don and Susan Elaine Parmley were married on December 29, 1990. They have shared 35 years of life’s adventures.

With a strong work ethic, Don was dedicated to the Torx - Camcar - Accument Global Technologies;  serving steadfast while they evolved, as a machinist for over a half century of service.  Gifted with his hands, he also loved to paint and had a second job of painting homes and businesses in the Rochester area for many years. He would work his third shift job and go right to painting after he got off work at Acument.

A man of strong faith, Don was a devoted member of the Church of the Heartland.   Occasional travel was an activity Sue and Don enjoyed.  Their favorite destinations were Las Vegas and Ft. Myers.  They also loved day trips to Four Winds Casino.  Relaxing at home, Don would be found in his favorite chair cheering on the Colts, Cubs and Notre Dame's Fighting Irish.  On the end table was his go to snack - bean dip and chips. Perfect for munching!

As the Patriarch of the Trigg family, Grandpa Don oversaw four generations.  He was very proud of his grandchildren and the arrival of his 4 great-grandsons, attending their school activities and sporting events.  When family gatherings and celebrations arose, Grandpa Don was always ready to lend a listening ear to hear the latest and celebrate their accomplishments.

Left to cherish Don's memory are his wife, Sue; two sons Micheal (Jen) Trigg, Jason Trigg; a daughter Ashlee (Alex) Kline; his mother-in-law Carol Parmley; 14 grandchildren: Andrea (Taran) Powell, Mikaela (Fiancé Tyson Prater) Trigg,  Maryea Meadows-Trigg, Oliver Trigg, Jena Chandler, Caleb Chandler, Austin (Fiancée Katie) Trigg, Diamond Coker, Alexis (Fiancé Brennan Fry) Trigg, Aleah Trigg, Caleb Wallace, Xavier Kline, Nevaeh Paschke and Olivia Paschke;  4 great-grandsons: Ian, Emmett, Jackson and Theo; a sister, Mary Tipton; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Don in death are his parents and son Christopher Alan Trigg on February 4, 2018; a grandson Zach Trigg in 2021; and his siblings Carol Webb, David Trigg and Keith Trigg.

A celebration of the life of Donald Lee Trigg will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the Church of the Heartland 321 East 8th St. Rochester. Pastor Jim Howard will officiate.

Military Honors will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard and the U. S.  Army Honors Team.

Burial will follow at a later date at Rochester's IOOF Cemetery.
