Walkerton man arrested after disagreement with neighbor at 4 a.m.

A disagreement between neighbors Wednesday morning, July 3rd at 4:08 landed a Walkerton man in the Marshall County Jail.

The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center was advised of the situation and sent deputies to the scene. During the investigation, officers learned that one of the people involved, Benjamin Jessup, 37, of Walkerton may have struck a utility pole and left the area. It was also determined that Jessup had been drinking.

County Police transported Benjamin Jessup to the Plymouth Hospital where he submitted to chemical testing. The results from the test revealed a BAC over twice the legal limit. Jessup was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
