The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department arrested a northern Illinois man early Tuesday morning. Taken into custody was 23-year-old Lacaro Cuatzil of Chicago just after midnight.
He was discovered to be wanted on an out-of-county arrest warrant. He was also charged with Obstruction of a Peace Officer during his arrest. Cuatzil was transported to the Lawrence County Jail and was being held there on the outstanding warrant awaiting transfer.
62-year-old Gary Kurowski of Lawrenceville was arrested late Monday night after being involved in a collision and leaving the accident scene. He was charged with Driving While License Revoked and Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Vehicle Damage. He was booked into the Lawrence County Jail and was being held pending a detention hearing.
