The Madison County Sheriff's Office and other agencies are investigating a report of a citizen observing two large exotic cats in southern Madison County near the Hancock County line.
The cats are believed to be a lion and a cub. Anyone who makes a sighting can call either the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department or the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
As of this report, no missing animals from any animal sanctuaries have been reported.
Please be aware of your surroundings and bring pets inside if possible. An update will be sent when there is more information.
