Shots fired early Tuesday morning led to two arrests for Shelbyville police.
About 1 a.m., officers from the Shelbyville Police Department responded to the 500 block of West Hendricks Street following a report of shots fired. They located two individuals at the scene, with at least one actively firing shots. Officers quickly took both suspects into custody. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident.
The Shelbyville Police Department is actively working with the Shelby County Prosecutor’s Office to determine appropriate charges. At this time, there is no threat to the public.
The Shelbyville Police Department noted they would like to extend gratitude to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance during this incident.
