The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a traffic pattern shift on State Road 63 and a ramp closure on I-74 in Vermillion County.
Beginning on or after Monday, March 31, crews will shift northbound traffic on S.R. 63 onto southbound lanes between County Road 1550 N. and Sycamore Lane. On or after Monday, May 12, the I-74 westbound exit ramp to S.R. 63 (Exit 4) will also close. This is the first of three phases of an intersection improvement project in this area, where crews will construct a reduced conflict intersection (RCI).
The first phase of construction is anticipated to last until July, with the entire project expected to be complete by the end of 2025.
The official detour for the I-74 ramp closure will follow I-74 westbound to Exit 220 at Lynch Road, I-74 eastbound to Exit 4, to S.R. 63.
