The suspect in a recent Jasper County Ill shooting has now been identified.
22 year old Jackson Leffler of Willow Hill has been preliminarily charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, a Class 1 Illinois felony.
He was arrested by authorities at the scene of the incident, which occurred Wednesday December 18th east of the Illinois Route 33/49 intersection.
A still unnamed male subject was found shot and was taken for treatment at an area hospital.
Leffler remains in custody and is scheduled for a court appearance on Thursday.
Investigation continues by Jasper County Sheriffs Department and the Illinois State Police CSI unit.
