A Washington Indiana teen died in an auto repair accident this past weekend.
The Daviess County Sheriff's Department reports that they were dispatched around 9 p.m. Saturday to a location in Washington after receiving a 911 call concerning a male subject pinned underneath a vehicle.
Upon arrival, emergency rescue personnel discovered 16-year-old Cooper Schuckman, of Washington, caught underneath a full-size Ford F350 pickup truck. A forklift was used to extricate Schuckman from beneath the truck, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate that Schuckman and a friend were repairing the truck, which was jacked up on two air jacks. While removing a part from the truck, the weight shifted and the truck fell off the jacks and onto Schuckman.
