A wanted fugitive has been apprehended by authorities in southwestern Indiana.

Friday, the Wabash County (Ill.) Sheriff's Department announced they were on the lookout for 66-year-old James Catt. He was being sought on a warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He was considered armed and dangerous at the time of his disappearance.

Sunday, the Pike County (Ind.) Sheriff's Office reported that they had captured Catt at a location there. Detectives took him into custody without incident after receiving a tip as to his whereabouts via their social media website.

Catt was transported to the Pike County Jail and was booked into the facility. He was being held awaiting formal extradition back to Illinois.
