The Fulton County Merit Board recently approved the hiring of two merit deputies, Clark Kroft and Aaron Zimmerman. Their hiring allows the sheriff's office patrol division to be fully staffed.
Kroft has been a reserve deputy with the sheriff's office since 2021 and graduated from the Kosciusko County Reserve Academy in 2023.
Zimmerman comes from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, where he had been a deputy since 2021. He graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2022.
"I am excited about the experience both deputies are bringing to the citizens of Fulton County. It’s not too often we get this level of training and certifications seeking us out," Fulton County Sheriff Travis Heishman said. "I have no doubt both will continue our administration's mission of continued professionalism, great citizen interactions and community-oriented policing."
Both deputies will be assigned to night shift patrol.
