Wednesday afternoon around the 18-mile marker on I-70 a semi blew a tire which caused the truck to run off the road into a wooded area where it caught fire.
The driver of the truck was pulled from the truck and airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital. The accident caused a short disruption of traffic on the interstate.
