51st District Republican State Senator Chapin Rose was in Lawrence County Thursday, September 17th to hear issues of concern from local governmental officials and constituents.
The veteran legislator from Mahomet told GIANT-FM News that the visit was just one stop he is making across his multi-county district while the Illinois General Assembly is not in session in Springfield.
When asked what people in Lawrence County were telling him, Rose said that he heard about the increased cost of living and affordability, the continuing need for economic development in the county, city water, sewer and other infrastructure needs, affordable housing, and the issue of the building of data centers across rural farmland areas among others.
Rose added that by speaking directly to the people he represents, he will be able to form a legislative agenda to work on when he returns to the state capital later this fall.
