Fire extensively damaged a residential home in Knox County Wednesday.
Firefighters were dispatched to the fire location on Indiana State Road 550 in Bruceville.
The blaze was caused by an outdoor brush pile being burned which spread into the rear of a nearby home on Main Street, catching it on fire.
It was several hours before the fire was brought under control.
There were no reported injuries.
The highway north of Indiana State Road 67 did have to be shutdown for a period to allow for firefighting efforts, but has since reopened.
