Fulton County Solid Waste has announced its pulling one its recycling trailers with recent discoveries of medical waste.
In a social media post, the disctrict announced it was removing its recycling trailer from the parking lot by the Kroger gas station until further notice. The district posted pictures of the IV bags and biohazard and medical waste that has been showing up in the trailer. It was noted that the district has been dealing with the issue for months and have put new signage up on the trailers and it hasn’t helped.
The district emphasized in the post that it wouldn't risk the health and safety of its employees and until this issue is corrected, that trailer is being pulled from its current location.
The post came with an apology all to all the excellent recyclers this will affect with hopes that they will make the trip to the facility to continue recycling efforts.
